Bottom Line: For the money, if you are looking for functionality without fancy bells and whistles you get a good product. This does the job. So far have used it for fast walking and light jogging up to 3 miles.Am just starting to get back into exercise and running. Previously was a serious runner and weight lifter. Have 2 big kids. A 9 month at 21 lbs and long and a 4 year old very tall, 40 lbs. I'll review the entire stroller. First, the parent pack at the handlebar is quite sufficient to hold 2 water bottles, juice boxes, cell phone, keys, tissues. Going for a run, up to 1.5 - 2 hours this should do the job. The undercarriage basket is large and easy access. It Can store jackets, blankets, other snacks. The canopy does have a gap near the top and handlebar so some sun gets in but not a big deal.Small towel will easily cover that or the kids wear hats/caps. The built in rain shield is awesome. It rolls up and tucks in under the canopy and in a pinch it can provide protection from wind, cold and rain. My older son loves it. The handle bar is padded, has a safety strap and the hand brake, necessary for downhill in my neighborhood. Combined weight of my boys does make turning with the locked front wheel more difficult, but you get used to it. I put my body weight on the handlebar to turn when I get tired. The foot brake is firm but strongly parks the jogger. I have to wedge my foot under the frame underneath to open the brake, but that is also no big deal. Really, if you're willing to put up with some small annoyances that you get used to, for the money you can go for a run and get the exercise you desire. What you DON'T see on the photos and what they couldn't answer at customer service is that behind the oval shaped removable padded seat is an oval shaped BAR that is kind of hard and is supposed to provide support I guess. I read about it on another review and called customer service but they couldn't help. I decide d to ordeer anyway. PLUS, my 4 year old's head goes well above this pad so the bar is kind of at his neck. I'd say this is the biggest drawback. HOWEVER, being on a tight budget, I simply inserted a small flat pillow there to provide padding over the bar and more support for my 4 year old and This does the trick and frankly, saved me $400.00 since I almost bought the phil and teds. Also the recline ability is just a belt clip type mechanism which is not easy to adjust. I keep it at 1 level: 1 to unclip and go as flat as possible when my son wants bottle or sleep. 1. clip back in for the most upright position, shich is not as upright as you'd like but is ok. So,Ultimately, I get to go running and my kids enjoy being next to each other, and going fast. So it's a win-win. I researched quite a bit but ultimately I won't get more than a year out of this so I went the cheaper route but am satisfied. My main goal is exercise and not mall shopping or 'easy' walks, park visits or vacation usage. There are other stroller for those things.
The first one that I received was broken - a rivet was missing. I contacted Schwinn and they were terrific. They immediately sent me out a brand new one, which I had in less than a week! The stroller itself is terrific. My two kids (3 1/2 and 9 months) both are very comfy in it. The ride is incredibly smooth - in fact they both have fallen asleep more than once and they NEVER sleep in strollers! I don't like that the canopy doesn't stay open. There is no lock on it, like there was on my babytrend single. So it blows closed in the wind, and you can't adjust it forward to protect them from the sun. I am actually trying to rig something to correct the problem. It is well made, and I am sure that I will get miles and miles of use out of it.
I am loving this stroller! I have a toddler and an infant and run/walk daily. I love that I can recline the seats individually. Being able to detach the seat pads and throw them in the wash is fantastic. I live in a very windy area and the wind breaker is great. I was very surprised at the mobility and lightness of it. This was a great investment!
I walk and jog long distances with this jogger, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I am the owner of a BOB single jogging stroller and was afraid to cut costs when buying the Free Runner, but I am not disappointed!
I was disappointed in this product. We couldn't get it properly assembled so the brakes would work. There's not enough storage space. It's hard to turn.

my kids really like this stroller. You can adjust the 2 seats individually to their comfort and it rides pretty smooth. The canopy doesn't stay in place when you try to adjust it down, which is disappointing. But overall I think this is a good stroller for the $$.
